Telkom LTE pay as you go

On the Telkom site they show LTE and LTE-A as being available as a monthly option:

I only see the contract options, where are the monthly options?

Great question, I have been wondering the exact same thing. I cannot find any info. I even sent a PM to the Telkom rep on here last week. No response
 
Also do you get a discounted rate because you are not taking a device?
 
So I went to a Telkom Store after work. See Below:

For those who want devices, I was told that Telkom doesn't have stock of the routers at the moment.
 
Can you get true pre paid LTE from Telkom, in other words buy your own LTE modem, buy a sim card from Telkom and load data as and when you need?
 
Which Routers are Telkom LTE compatible? Am assuming not all of them. If Telkom is out of stock, where else can you get a compatible router?
 
Man...what a mission it's been dealing with Telkom. First with ADSL and now this. They won't sell me the LTE router :mad:. I can go in store, get the sim-only LTE deal but then have to go elsewhere to get the modem even though they've got stock but they seem to want to keep it for the contracts. Mission.

They gave the wrong sized sim card. I wasn't there, someone else ended up getting it and opted for the contract because they were being difficult with the router.

Yes. I buy the 2gig bundle for R139 as and when I need to for my phone
 
I bought a router from them before these deals came about. No issue. They were cheaper than most other online stores as well.

Thinking of killing ADSL and telephone line all together to go lte only.

I've got this for work as the cost of line + ASDL + waiting 2 months for Telkom wasn't that much of a save compared to the LTE deal. Anyway, I'm just trying to find a reasonably priced LTE router for home and I'll get a monthly sim-only deal.

I am worried if LTE is unstable or give me any issues that I would like to move back to ADSL. Worried about the shlep of getting that all back in order.
 
So, will Telkom sell you a router, specifically the E5186? How much will it cost?
