So I wanna upgrade the audio system in my car, atm it's just two speakers. I wanna upgrade the speakers(4") and add a sub.

So here is my budget, all products need to be from Takealot.
Budget of R2500 or less on only one product not including any out of stock products, any lead time products, any products sold by a 3rd party seller, pre-order products or Daily Deal products. I was thinking an amp would be something to purchase with this amount.
Another R2500 on anything else. Speakers etc.

If you are in Cape Town there is a place next to Hifi corporation in Rondebosch that's good. Always ask for a discount. We put in better quality speakers in place of the old ones keeping the same grille as before so it looks stock standard and a small amp running an 8" sub only in the boot. Maybe check if there are wiring for the back door. You won't gain any value to your car for trade value by upgrading to a heavier sound system. If you change the look you will actually loose value. Keep it looking stock standard but get better quality speakers.

I paid like R380 for 2x6,5" Sansui Split-systems(tweers+woofers+amp) from Hi-Fi. I upgraded the amp to a Targa 1600W 4 channel. Got them for 8 years now and people still thing that there's a sub in the boot :D

Nice head unit small amp and 2x 6x9.

I don't want to cut the back board or anything so I just want to upgrade the 4" speakers the dash already has.

You can put a small box with 2x 6x9 in the boot of you want. Alternatively buy a ready made mounting board for the car from Audio installers. They sell those premade back boards. Take out your original and put it away, put in custom one and mount speakers.

I only know of a place in Pretoria that sells them. I'm sure you will get it in Durban. Coincidentally it is Indians selling it here in Pretoria too :D

Where are the 4" speakers mounted in the Spark?

Dash or doors?

Chats should have a few decent installers. SoundLab comes to mind.

You not going to get any bass from 4" speakers. Best to put some super tweeters in the front and 6x9's or 7x10's with a custom backboard. I remember my Sansui 7x10's sounding so good that the buyer of our Sting insisted he wanted them :D
