SARS Banking Details

Good Afternoon All,

I bank with ABSA and need to pay SARS money. However If I try to do it from the SARS website it says there is an error. I then log onto ABSA and my bank account and try to pay them using the pre listed ABSA approved benefeciaries however it says there is an error with their account number ect. How on earth can I pay these guys???

Hi Dobes,

I tried that originally and it kept saying failed , I got the sms saying that SARS has created a payment instruction but nothing?
 
I got errors initially, but it turned out to be the Access number that I got wrong.
In my case, Account Number and Access Number needed to be set to the Account Number that I log in with.
User Number is set to 1.

If you want to pay with a different account then you change the Account Number field, as far as I know.

After that, the rest worked as per the document.

"This Payment was not completed successfully"

this has been going on now for over a week?
 
Make sure that your banking details are correct.
Use the payment option on the ITA34 form.
 
Do you know if I can just go into ABSA and try do it from there? Wow so frustrating

Do you have more than one account with ABSA? Did you register your internet banking account on e-Filling?
 
Hi Lara, yes have a few accounts. I did register it with the correct account number as well ? :wtf:
 
Under SARS Credit Push options is it set to ABSA Direct - Internet Banking?

Is your cellphone number correct for ABSA internet banking?
 
Are you certain it isn't already listed under Authorizations when you log into internet banking. There is a sub-tab for payments to SARS.
 
If you are using a different Access Number and Account Number maybe try switching them.
I can't remember which is which, since they happened to be the same in my case.

Someone else I helped had different numbers and paid successfully.

Other than that, I don't have any other ideas, sorry.
It's really a lot more difficult than it should be.
 
wait wait wait.. Dobes I tried switching the access number and account number and it worked? how on earth does that even make sense.. only this country can make things work backwards. glad that's sorted out now. really appreciate all the help
