They are just reselling Telkom packages at the same price as Telkom. Nothing special there. Rather deal with Telkom directly (IMHO).

It's true, we do sell Telkom's internet packages at exactly the same price. We're an authorised seller of Telkom, part of their Future Makers innitiative. So why go with us instead of direct through Telkom? 1 reason (2 words) - Customer Service!

When people think of Telkom, good customer service is not exactly what comes to mind. Our sole Unique Selling Point is grounded in creating world class customer experiences. We do internet speed test at customers locations and walk them through the application process. We also provide advice on the best internet solution for your internet needs.

I must admit I do not share your opinion of this crowd. I requested an installation and was visited about a day after my request. I was visited by two reps connecting their router and showing my how fast the network is. I was impressed, signed the contract and was promised delivery within 2 to 3 days. Needles to say this did not happen. I then was informed that the router will only arrive late the next week. I drove to the courier company and collected my router only to get home and realize that I still had to wait for activation which was to take another 48 to 72 hours. After activation, when I click on a link it would take up to 30 seconds to respond. I reported this to Home Cloud upon which they send out a tech. He informed me that I need to have my external antenna installed and that they would arrange this. The antenna was installed after many phone calls and promises. When I tried to fine tune my antenna I realize that the installation team installed it directly behind a large tree, three meters from a line of sight spot. I phoned and haunted Home Cloud for about a month and a half, eventually insisting to speak to a director. To my dismay I was today informed that Home Cloud is only a approved reseller. According to the director they ensure that you sign up, but then after that you are not their problem anymore. I now have to talk to Telkom to have the botched installation corrected. When I asked the director if they are a fire and forget company he admitted that they only care about you until you are signed up. They cannot help me with anything anymore and I now have to talk to Telkom. My suggestion, rather deal with Telkom direct so you can start with the company that you are going to end up with anyway. My start with Home Cloud was with dishonesty from their side to ending with useless information and no assistance at all. I spent two months and countless minutes and money on calls only to be told that they do not offer support. They just sign you up and then you are on your own.
 
Worst service I've ever had, worse than Telkom. Waiting more than a month for delivery of router :( No follow through on their promises, empty promises. WORST of the WORST.

All I can say is stay away from Homecloud "solutions", I would rather pay more to another service provider for a different solution. To put up with non delivery and lies are not worth your money or energy.

When can someone call me back about my package?? Since you guys don't work weekend, who can help? Not one person even called me to help set up my router, I had to do it myself, and then you charge extra on my account after I specifically asked about any
additional expenses!!!!
 
Home Cloud Solutions might be a real business with real people but they have no concept of customer service, in fact, I'd be surprised if they even know how to spell CUSTOMER SERVICE. I would rather deal with Telkom than deal with Home Cloud Solutions. They don't have the foggiest idea of what they are doing and definitely know nothing about "creating world class customer experiences" - to quote the post above!!! If anyone is planning on doing business with this company, I would suggest that you give them a miss and rather go to Telkom:mad::mad::mad:
 
I enquired about a package giving my home address where I have lived for 16 years and was told that I have no coverage. One of the reps then desperately phoned me back to inform that they had made a mistake and that I do indeed have excellent coverage whereafter I signed up for a package and eventually had my SIM delivered(couriered to the same address that I live at and gave to check for coverage).
Needles to say when I inserted the sim into the route there was zero signal. I immediately emailed the consultant who sold me that package and to this day she has not responded. I themn tried phoning in and after speaking to someone was told that THEY would come back to me..2 days later still waiting.. I then tried the online chat and after speking toi an agent she told me someone would contact me. later in the day someone did contact me by email and ask me for the number on the sim which I had already given to the previous person who was coming back to me and never has.Anyway I supplied this information and the idiot who emailed me had the audacity to reply as follows(cut and pasted)

Did you move to a new address?
Or give an incorrect address to the sales associate because they do a coverage check on the address you give and not the area.

Needles to say I have had no further response from anyone.

Customer service? Please don't make me laugh! It's just taken us 90 minutes to get hold of a support person! Your office answering service says you're open from 8 on a Saturday. We called numerous times, no answer. We then tried your after hours support number. Guess what? The phone was off! When it finally was finally turned on, nobody answers. So, please tell me what customer service you offer? You've lost yet another customer! I will never do business with your company again!
 
Don't waste your time with them.

already did 11 days ago, still waiting for a person to contact me WRT a package and when ill receive it. ALAS, I have given up, using cellc prepaid until RAIN signal hits us or a better deal/s come out
 
Home Cloud service has been ignoring us since cancelling a contract almost 2 months ago. The service is absolutely non-existing and must be illegal? How can one take action against a company like this? I cannot get an ADSL line installed with Telkom due to the fact that there is "already an existing account". We do not have fibre in our area yet.
