MTN SA CEO gets R5.2 million in shares

And they've just announced a mid contract price increase, must have those director privileges no? No matter how the company ***** up.

Cost your company huge fines and get paid huge bonuses.
I bet they say to the staff sorry increases are small because of the Nigeria "issue"

Mteto is CEO of MTNSA not Nigeria or the group. Someone else is responsible for that.

Read it again. They are changing the rate per minute not your subscription. So if a person had a contract with a fixed rand amount ie: R200 , the contract will now be used up @ R1.50 per minute versus R1.20 per minute. So yes, they are technicly correct that your subscription hasn't changed/increased but the net effect is that your subscription money is worth around 20% less. Not to mention the loss of carryover which is a lot for some folks

You are correct , I misunderstood that you thought subscription prices will also increase and rate per min

Not sure about that.. Some contracts have rates stipulated per min/sec which you sign up to for two years. Ie the value of the contract is only part of the equation.

This is inflation food manufacturer style.. When the consumer is very aware and conscientious of price of goods you either decrease volume/quantity, quality of goods to have the same pricing effect.
