Don’t install iOS 10: Apple users

Feel free to update iTunes though. The design has been much improved. Never thought Apple would make it not dog s**t, but what do you know.

Users are reporting now that it's fine to update through iTunes. Also, Apple released an update already but it's still being rolled out so hold off a few days for the update. Mine is still on 10 but I saw a screenshot of 10.1 on Twitter.

I'm on 10.0.1

It's not even out yet  :wtf:

When Apple announces the new iOS at their event they seed it to developers immediately after. One week later it is released to the general public. Usually what is seeded to the developers ends up being what goes public, but on the odd occasion it gives them a window period to fix problems as seems to be the case with this release.

Update: Apple has released a statement saying that the following iOS 10 update issues should now be resolved:

We experienced a brief issue with the software update process, affecting a small number of users during the first hour of availability. The problem was quickly resolved and we apologize to those customers. Anyone who was affected should connect to iTunes to complete the update or contact AppleCare for help.

Weird...Corporate IT was warning about it yesterday morning already. Wonder how they knew...

I just updated on my phone, never read any of this stuff and everything went ok. Also on 10.0.1.

I'm not sure about this advise, I've upgraded my iPhone6 an hour ago without any hiccup! Also I didn't even need to connect to a PC or MAC. I downloaded directly from the phone and proceeded with the installation.

I'm not a fan of iOS 10 :( my messages app is crashing... iOS 10.0.1 here. Really frustrating

There was an issue, they fixed it. Read the article.

You are probably the only one. No complaints anywhere else.

Checked now. There are reports of this happening. Fixed it by doing a settings reset. The Bitmoji keyboard refuses to work though. Keeps saying to switch full access on when it is. Hope it's a bug with the actual app
