I feel exactly the same. My license fees will be going to something else come its December due date!
 
We have the biggest criminal of them all sitting in power of SA, so the SABC will be even less phased about the law or any court rulings
 
Got the licence mail, and told them to get fscked, wont see me paying that crap ever again

Not paying to support corrupt persons or the no longer relevant SABC - it has no value whatsoever to South African citizens - so no reason to pay and funds to its upkeep.
 
the sad fact is if you pay for DSTV, a portion of your DSTV subscription is allocated to the SABC.

so I am sorry Jan. while you still use DSTV some money is going to the SABC, and they have a legal case for you to need to pay.


while I support what you are saying (and I have been doing the same thing for 3 years now, simply ignoring the SMSes and calls from the SABC to pay...) when they do actually come knocking they will not find anything that can recieve any SABC signal in my house.

so in short, want to screw over the SABC and remove their revenue? cut the cord and get rid of monochoice.
 
Also tired of this nonsense about it being legal bla bla bla

I dont give two shts anymore of its law to pay for it, i refuse to, as it is supporting a corrupt and wasteful organisation

Funny you should mention that... I just got my renewal notice yesterday... I won't be paying this anymore... or ever again.
 
I used to have twinges of conscience about not having a TV license...no longer.
