Almost impossible to tell the difference between Full HD and HD Ready

Well, these guys are obviously out to screw consumers, I won't be buying any products associated with them.
 
You've got to be kidding me. I can see the difference of 900p vs 1080p on a desktop monitor that's 24" (900p) vs 27" (1080p), I am definitely going to notice 720p vs 1080p. I hate working on 720p, on a TV it might be not be noticeable if the source material is bad, but I can see a night and day difference between the same thing in 720p and 1080p on my TV at about 3 meters. Essential Law for Marketers, by Ardi Kolah on page 161, when LG tried that, ASA (UK) said it was inaccurate and misleading, even if there is no official "legislative standard".

No they're not. That's the entire point of why it's accepted industry wide as 1080p = 1920x1080.

Nu-World also stated that the EDID method used by individuals to test the resolution of its TVs was “not 100% reliable” for various reasons, including the “possible inadequacies in the software being tested and also testing errors by the tester”

Way more reliable than your packaging and I have yet to see a false report.

However, “notwithstanding the above”, Nu-World stated that it will update all packaging describing the “relevant TV sets as High Definition and without any reference to FHD” to avoid “possible confusion”

Are they attempting to utterly destroy their reputation? It's already very bad.
 
Classic case of foot in mouth disease for Nuworld. Instead of owning up to their fault here, they try to spin it.
 
the same kind of response to uncapped internet in south africa from service providers, they are just following suit.
 
Can someone post a list of all the brands they sell so we can avoid being scammed by these scumbags?
 
I will make sure to never buy any of their products and I will make sure that everyone in my family stay clear of these crooks.
