It should be noted that broadband capping is an international norm. Both the British Telecommunication 512k services have a 15 gigabyte a month cap, while its 1 megabyte service has a 30 gigabyte limit. Other telecommunications companies that employ a similar practice include Australia’s Telstra, Belgium’s Belgacom and New Zealand Telecom.
I think we should check the accuracy of this statement. Also funny how Telkom states that BT cap at 30 gigs and then in the previous paragraph call using 30 gigs 'abuse'. Ja Telkom.Telkom said:It should be noted that broadband capping is an international norm. no idea - will be largely a contractual matter i.e. contract between them and telkom which will dictate the outcomeMaryJane said:dominic, do you think that DOTCO has a good chance of winning from what you have read so far?

at a vastly inflated price. It is a wholesale issue, which provides each ISP with the flexibility to determine its own ADSL product offerings.
If Telkom has contractually provided 30GB accounts then sue their a$$.
I don't think you'll be saved on that one.KnightFire said:Please someone save ME!!!!!! Show me where on earth we are in par with international standards pricing wise or service wise!!!!!!????? WHERE IS THAT COMPARISON........I FOR ONE WOULD LOVE TO SEE THAT!!!!!!
If the isp's hadnt been stealing gigs none of this would have happened
