Am on Do2 and for the past couple of months have got 4-5gb of usage each month before being capped. This month capped today on 2.6gb, but still have local access. I wanted to test and see, so downloaded all day on the 1st and I saw that this morning I have no international. Will keep all posted on how much local I get to use.

Same here - on the 1st I didnt have int for most of the day. I then reset my router and it was all working again. I did notice I went from a 165.x.x.x IP to a 44.x.x.x

Yeah, actually.

It's a new year, new year means Telkom has another 12 months of screwing the consumer.

We've been through most of their tactics, I'm curious to see what they can pull outta there hat now.

How many GB's (locally) will I get this month, I know I did close too about 80/90 for December.

I wonder what Telkom has instore for us this month... really, I'm very curious!

Perhaps that answers your question? Quite probable that they'll take a more hard-line approach to capping after what's happened the last few months.

No cablemonkey,

I think the problem that Masu had, as well as others was just Telkom's system not kicking in properly for 2008.

I say that because quite a few of the systems here at my work have issues because it hasn't kicked in that its 2008, it still thinks it's 2007 so I can only assume that the Telkom system only giving local and not INT as well as because of something similar to that.

Someone probably had to come in and fix it.

well i was capped at about 1.4 gigs on my 1 gig account, havent tried to reset it yet

What you say doesn't make any sense - she said she's capped at 2.6Gb for the month of January on Do2. That's what I'm referring to - not the fact that some people had no international yesterday due to whatever.

wel it happened at like 2am, i have work today so i went to bed instead of seeing if i can get it to work

@ cablemonkey

maybe the stats tell him 2.6GB but he actually did 3GB (it just wasn't updated yet) because yesterday I went to check my stats too and even that was down.

Maybe it was just half of SA who didn't have INT, either way, one can only assume.

Riiight...

Telkoms tracker was down for me since the start of the month so I could not check my usage.

What I notice now after the tracker went live again is the following:

I downloaded about 200mb international since the 1st and this shows correctly under international downloads on the tracker. I also downloaded and uploaded(local torrent) about 400mb which reflects correct under local downloads on the tracker.

Now last month nothing showed up on my local tracker. only after being capped at 2.6 gigs did any local bandwidth show on the tracker. Could it be that Telkom is finally splitting local and international usage ie they will only cap me when I reach 2gig int on my Do2 account?

If Telkom is splitting local and international data on the 41.xxx-range that would be great.
I have 2.3MB local usage according to the tracker for January but I think this was on December '07s 165.xxx-range before I manually reset the router yesterday.

Currently it states that I have a active blended session and no active local sessions.
