Good day,

MTN have already upgraded all high traffic 3G sites to HSDPA (Closing the footprint) and We are also in the process of upgrading all the exsisting 3G sites.

MTN will also be expanding 3G & HSDPA during the course of this year.

3G in Hout Bay???

When oh when - now 18 months since I forked out for a 3G phone and can still not access it at home or work. Does MTNDD have a date for Hout Bay upgrade to 3G?

In terms of roll out in area's I can't tell you but I can advise you to log a query with our coverage department and they can advise on all developments

Should you need the details please let me know

With regards to the coverage query, can you please call the helpline on 0839001212 so that the coverage department can log a query to investigate.

SUPPOSE THEY WILL ANSWER THE PHONE BEFORE HELL FREEZES OVER.

But still in Wierdapark Centurion only 1 bar 3G. I have to switch to Vodacom regularly because MTN 3G is not working and disconnecting constantly!!

No, I did not get hold of them. Tried to send a sms to that number, but received no reply. Wouldn't know if it would have worked anyway. What is their e-mail address?

Surely MTN will have complete records of all their customers with 3G phones & data cards. Why not concentrate in having their addresses covered for a start?

I agree MTN data coverage is bad. I dont have 3g nor Edge in my area. One of my colleagues foolishly went and signed up a 24month data contract without consulting "me" Now he's trying to pass it on to somebody as he's finding out too slow. If he only asked me I would have told him that we dont have edge coverage nor 3g at the office either. !!!!

Sorry to hear you're not happy with MTN'S 3G

We are doing our best to ensure the quality of our network is looked into at all levels - Our coverage department is working very hard to ensure these issues are looked into as a matter of urgency.
