lllllllloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooollllllllll, Keeper i love that humour.

I guess with a name like keeper (reference to the best game ever created by man) you have to have a good sense of humour.

Hi

I live very near your area (Rosettenville) and according to their map you don't have coverage and you can't buy if you don't have coverage. So my question is how did you get it? Is their another way to get the modem etc?

And another question: Does anybody know what the green on their coverage map means?

How far do you stay from the OLD Post office in Rosetenville, that is where Neotel base stations is located. If you stay approx 2.5 km, you covered. If not sorry...

Can one of the mods just delete this post

Sheesh... this crap is slow!

Browsing is slow, downloading from web I never got more than 60kBps. Torrents i've seen has had a combined speed of 140kBps max once. After that one little miracle I dont get over 60kBps. Bitmeter I get an avg of about 30kBps.

I'm really dissapointed and frankly, quite p1ss3d off...I hope they fix it soon!

Lol, I feel your pain, but first you have to convince them you have terrible speeds and this is difficult when they keep telling you that you speeds are within the acceptable and expected averages.

Mine have dropped from 1.4-.1.5 mbps average to about 600-900 kbps average and everytime i complain they say it is normal so good luck. RichardG can attest to how good the speeds can be as the lowest speed i have seen him get is 1800kbps.

According to Alfred ("tech" guy) this is due to how many people are connected to the base station (congestion) and to be honest i find this very very scary considering they have been offering the product for only half a year.

For interest sake her is my latest speed test taken right now:

They should change their name to SloTel amongst a couple of others I can think of.

Edit: I'm quite happy with these speeds. I don't use P2P so I can't comment on that, but I get between 150kB/s and 220kB/s from giganews consistently.

Don't get me wrong i realise the speeds are within their expected average i am simply pointing out the decrease i have experienced over the past few months from the time i received the product until now.

These speeds are also what i have been experiencing at all time on all days, it doesn't matter if i check the speed at 2 in the afternoon or 2 in the morning with no difference between peak and off peak times.

I Guess what i am trying to say is I know what speeds are possible and i also know what speeds are the average but surely with excellent coverage i should be able to see some goods speeds during off peak times or am i simply expected to see these speeds no matter what.

Orin76 would you still be happy with the speeds if after a couple of months you get half what you are getting now, even in offpeak hours?
