Hi all,

Okay, first up, Thank you VodacomData for helping where need be, but it seems, the VodacomData is the only person who does his job properly.

Story goes as such;

My boss wants to take out the 4MB uncapped deal with Vodacom. http://mybroadband.co.za/news/ADSL/7642.html

Anyways, I msg VD and request contact details, VD does one better, VD gets someone to call us, we chat, they can't answer questions, so he says he'll refer us to someone and they'll call back.

After a day, nothing, so I msg VD and someone calls us back again, anyways, after 3 or more calls, where nothing basically gets done - I've pretty much had it bothering VD.

We can't seem to get helped, people from Vodacom promise to help us, but nothing happens.

We were even told that a solution architech will contact us, hell, WAYNE the sales manager of the Western Cape can't call us back but we were told he would.

Ultimately, no one is helping us complete the deal / get the package.

Anyone else have this problem?

VD - is there not a easier way of doing this?

We all know that Vodacom makes millions, but is this bit of business not wanted?

It seems Vodacom can offer the product, but when it comes to giving clients the product, that is a completely different story - and of cause, the horrible service where people who call us can't help us.

Also... the "unrestricted" APN does not have all ports open anymore...

Have been trying to get Vodacom to fix this for 3 weeks

No luck at all...

Let's hope something happens today VD - even if the person in question has to harrass my boss, I don't care... He'll take it - that I know for sure.

Hi Jasweb

I checked the canyouseeme.org site with unrestricted and internet apn , it says that port 21 and 80 cannot be seen so i dont have much faith in testing the ports in this manner.

I can confirm and tested the apns now and they both work fine .

Thanks

Had a guy from Vodacom here this morning.

Boss and him chatted and we have to fill in forms etc and move from there.

But at least we are at that point because if we didn't moan, we'd probably still be waiting!!!

Thanks VD again for the help - hopefully, once we fill in the forms and get the nod from Vodacom, the ball can roll further :)

We are in the process of trying to acquire this - man oh man oh man is it a mission!

As soon as we get the service, we'll post information on it.

Why is this still an issue ?

I thought we sorted this out already Nick ?

Just a quick update...

We are still in the process of doing this, it should hopefully be wrapped up by Friday, but don't quote me, there has been so much paperwork, so much drama.

My boss actually gave the rep (who is helping us) some grief yesterday because if we don't call "HIM" he "forgets" to call us

Anyways... hopefully we'll wrap this up soon.

Apparently we getting a CISCO router.

Okay, this has gotten pathetic now... VodacomData, I'm sending you a PM, I need you to call me personally so I can chat to you about this, after that, before I post a really embarrasing post about how this entire than has gone down.

R2399 ??!?! REALLY!?!?!

You gonna laugh guys when you see the final cost and the drama that has been going on for us to get this 'special' Vodacom is offering!

I'm lekker the m0er in now!

Ok so here's the story so far...

*Yes, this is still on going!*

Only after our initial post did we get a response, after all our millions of paper work etc and signing the quote.

We were then only waiting for an installation date as our rep "Nilan" told us all was in order.
Infact I was told at that time it would be be the end of that week.

Then all of a sudden we get a new quote which now included .. R 1500 installation and R500 monthly for rental of their cisco router.

Dispite me already asking BEFORE we signed the original quote, does this include the installation and router? and of cause we were told "YES"

Then Morne got involved and I had hoped that things would be on the road to 'complete'
Now another week goes by and nothing yet again!!!!
My boss emailed Morne on Tuesday and he replied and cc'd a few other people.

Since then, Nilan and Wayne (Regional guy for Vodacom) has not replied.
Even when we phone Morne on his cell... no answer!

The main hold up we were told... was the quote was a complete FUBAR.
Vodacom's mistake and they have to honor the first quote, so that was the delay. :erm:

Think about it - Having to include the installation and router and reflect the first price quoted - what, a week to do that?

We have been VERY VERY patient with this whole thing... I'm sure you agree can see that (from the posts) and we've been messed around right from the start.

This has been going on since my OP! This is really really pathetic guys, agree?

Wow, 5 weeks later and you still have no service??!!! Ridiculous!!! You have to beg and beg and beg TO GIVE THEM BUSINESS!!!!

Disgraceful....

Why don't you just tell them to **** off???!!!
