Great sorting out the uploads speeds for the 4096 users but how about they concentrate on adding some new products to the range, i.e. a 1024 or 2048 package and some relative pricing accordingly.
If anyone needs an upload check it's the 384 users which have a basically useless upload speed.
sigh...it doesn't matter if they increase the speeds if they still charge insane prices for bandwidth. Just means you will hit your cap that much faster and end up paying more money in Telkom.
In fact I think that will be my new philosophy in life. Assume everything, no matter how good it looks, is there to make Telkom more money.
Good news in my opinion. I assume that the upgraded speed will be free. While we want higher usage limits etc this is still a positive step, just like the upload speed upgrades some time ago.
Just increasing their ability to get a better grip on your wallet, nothing more at all.
TELKOM, along with Mr Mostert are deaf, dumb and blind. While increased speeds are certainly desirable, without increased data transfer allocations to go along with it it is only self serving.
While Mr Mostert is in awe of this new 'value added' offering I would wager the public will great it with significantly less enthusiasm.
There is no hope for TELKOM as they continue to ignore consumer needs in favor of short term results.
honestly, a bump for 384 and 512 to higher speeds would be fantastic. Imagin 1meg, 2meg and 4meg lines, that would be the end of my speed complaining for atlease till 2010.
i really have no need for faster upload speeds when my downloading is like 100 times more that my upload.
What we need is a SDSL solution for business. ADSL is ok for home use, but business need the upload speed as much as the download speed, especially with VPN use.
