Gated estates lead pack with hi-tech services

It makes sense. You would be daft not to take this opportunity and run with it.
 
It would appear that alternative energy source would be a prerequisite to all those funky new technologies..
 
Anyone know what companies specialise in such services? Anyone heard of SA digital villages (a company presumably) who specialise in fibre based networks for estates?

Apparently busy in an estate where i have bought a property. Will be using blown fibre, and have super abundant orange cabling for fibre to home everywhere

IS Gated Service

I've just moved into a new apartment with a gated service supplied by IS (www.isgs.co.za). But what they want to charge me for a simple 512kbps, 3Gb cap connection is absolutely ridiculous – R660 :eek: Or what do you think?
 
@robbfg: It may be a better idea just to make sure that your complex has access to Telkom landline services as many of these other services are even more restricted and expensive. You definitely do not want to be in a position where you are totally reliant on a single supplier both for your access as well as the bandwidth.
