iPhone out 20 July

Will it have all the supported features like push email and GPS?

I have to disagree with the part suggesting it will be aluminium instead of plastic casing, evidence suggests it will be glossy plastic(not the current aluminium textured plastic) and thicker not thinner for a bigger battery to cope with 3G...

but it's all rumours now anyway.

IS this true? 20 July is on a Sunday!!

Maybe he meant June:)? He better have meant June. I'm not waiting until July.

EDIT: Seems to be coming out in Aus. on the 29th of June which is also a Sunday :(

Watch www.engadget.com or gizmodo.com around 6pm tonight, Apple press conference and the launch of the new iPhone is on the agenda! So keep a look out...
Speculation is that it will have GPS, 3G... all the things the first gen didn't have

Call me a lier, but I am sure I have seen photographs of a the plastic cover and can confirm it is not aluminium????

The iphone has GPS?!??!?! since when?
The old iPhone has "fake" GPS where it uses Wi-Fi hotspots and cell towers and then queries a database of locations to work out where it is. It works in the US so I wonder if it could work here if offically supported. The iPhone 2.0 being announced today at the Apple WWDC is rumoured to have GPS but at this point it's a rumour.

I will be getting and spending R7500 soon - either an iPhone or a Huge Flatscreen...which should I go for?

I think I will have more enjoyment from a Plasma, but I dunno - If I buy the iPhone I get GPS too, which costs about R2000 anyway....

Decisions Decisions....

My contract is up for renewal in Feb next year and I'll definately pay in to have the iPhone. I've wanted one for ages. Now I wouldn't have to carry my iPod around with me anymore - one device instead of 2! Ahhh, nice!

Vodacom's "The Grind" application does exactly that so I don't see why the iPhone couldn't if it is supported.

You'll get more enjoyment and use from the Plasma/LCD than you will from an iPhone, I'd suggest you go for the TV, but that's just MHO
