I think you are wrong, people do not see him as black as he doesn't see himself as black. He views himself as a man who will be the next US president. He is mature enough to look past his skin colour and to realise it doesn't mean anything of any importance. That is my personal opinion.

I, for one, wholly support Barack Obama, regardless of these smear campaigns that have been launched against him. Perhaps you should stop watching Fox News and actually do some research into this sort of thing before making such claims.

Okay so the Rev Wright was not his mentor? He never belonged to the Trinity church? He never donated money to that 'church'. He never sat on a committee and mingled with convicted felons and weather underground members? Louis Farrakhan, Castro never endorsed him. His wife never said she wasn't proud to be an American until now...... all 'smears' to this perfect candidate? young, black, offering hope and change anything negative must be lies and 'smears'

I think I must get in politics. Some self tan, wax lyrical about 'hope and change' become the 'cool' candidate and the lemmings will flock in supporting me. I can do what I please and if anybody brings up something dodgy from my past I'll write it off as 'right wing smear campaigns'
