Yip... agreed... ive just returned from DRC and couldn't access WAP, but maybe thats a good thing! This international data rate thing is actually ridiculous. I was in Asia in May and i think it was something like R60/MB. There must be a way for the telcos to reduce that rate!
Got good on MTN, finally its affordable to make calls using my MTN SA number instead of using a local sim card! The R30 per minute which is what I was paying in DRC is just outrageous!

The article says "Receiving calls: R5"
So does that mean the caller, assume they're calling from SA on any network, pays R5 per minute?
Or does that mean the caller pays their normal local call rate, and the receiver (outside SA on MTN) pays the extra R5 per minute?
Or does the caller pay their international call rate (on whatever network they're on) and the receiver pays the R5 per minute?

Since its still technically a local number the caller is dialing, i would lean more towards the second option, as the caller might not even know that the receiver is out the country.
The caller would just be charged local call rates and the receiver would be charged the R5 per minute.
Still not sure though... :/
Just had another look at those options, and you're correct IMO - I didn't read properly.
