Telkom Media gets license

Why? They're out of business...wait, they were never in it.

I thought that this happened last year. Have they only just woken up or is this a new PR executive?
Nope, it has taken !CASA this long to actually type up the licence in Microsoft Word [probably the '97 version] and then the printer drivers didn't work in Vista...

Seriously though, I expect the licence has only just been issued - last year was just the announcement from !CASA that it intended to issue Pay TV licences.

So it was the announcement of the intention to announce the issuing of licenses?
Why not just make it official when they know who they intent to give licenses for? Is all this time wasting necessary?

and they forgot about the satellite segment (which is now the subject of a new ministerial policy direction)

Seriously, so TelkodemonopoliesMedia's Pay TV licence excludes the satellite broadcasting rights that TelkodemonopoliesMedia was going to use to provide a <ZAR200/month satellite TV service?

I'm beginning to think that there must be something in the food and or water at !CASA that eats away at the brains cells of !CASA employees, or maybe it's just Paris Mashile's incompetent narcoleptic leadership style that has rubbed off...
