64GB flash drive

sounds promissing, i've seen the smaller ones in action and it looks good.
 
64 gigs is not bad, but what is the read and write speed, it will take you 3 days to fill it, if the fastest current flash disk can only write at 4mbs
 
The price doesn't really concern me cos it will come down, I remember shelling out just over a grand for a 1GB flashdrive not so long ago.
 
Solid state drives seems to pickup well. One of these days the only reason you need a PC chassis is to house the GFX card.

I have one that has a throughput of 23MBs. An old 1Gb flash drive. Then I have a 4Gb Kingston DataTraveler2 which is incredibly slow, about 5 or 6 MBs.

The same could be said for a 512Mb flash disk, no?
 
i have a 8 gig kingston, and also only 4-5 mbs per sec, it take like 15 min to fill it
