While it has been known for a while now that the iFruits screen is substandard in comparison with new products from real cellular makers, it is very surprising to see how far these new entrants really raised the bar.

In the case of this HTC we have a screen that is the same size as the iPhones but it has 2.5X more pixels !!! That is not where the party ends though - it has a 5megapixel camera - loads of memory and all the normal features like MMS and working Bluetooth (the kinds of things you will not find on an iPhone).

So then - as we have seen with the Nokia 5800, things are looking very bleak for our favorite fruit company. If they take another year to make a few minor changes to their only model it will show their true colours in a glaring fashion.

All that remains to be asked it - will you wait for a iPhone or rather wait a little more and get the HTC Touch HD ?:p
 
mmmmm.....upgrade due in November. Might just stick with ye old TyTN II until this one's launched locally...!

this phone is beautiful... i always said htc was the best and this proves it.

edit: the crying smiley is becase i have another year and a few months to go for my upgrade... (currently on a htc p4350 and nokia 1680 as party phone)

the thing I like most about them is that they can make a phone so quick and they do it!
They monitor the market, see what the people want and they make it!!
All manufacturers should do this!!

they the only real manufacturer making fun of Apple imo!
 
When I saw that, I got an erection...but soon afterward, I started hating HTC, I was planning on buying a diamond in two weeks. And in two to three months time when this comes out, when I finally buy one for under R8000, HTC will release something else, something better...

Maybe you should get an E90 instead then :)
 
Think they will do well.. wm6.1 definately has more functionality that the iphone.. but the UI is not as responsive... if they can fix that then you have a great phone..

when i mention slow UI i am refering to the Touch diamond... its just lags to long even with the firmware upgrade
 
A weird thing just happened.

Whats the code name for this phone? Is it HTC Touch T8282 (HD)???

If so, its in testing... ALREADY!!:eek::eek::eek:
 
Just hope they bring out a HD with sliding keyboard - my Treo has made me a qwerty fan for life...
