I'm looking for some more RAM to liven up my ailing P3 desktop. ATM it only has 128MB which makes even XP slow.

Are there any shops that still stock this stuff, new or second hand even?

I've got some classified ads up already...

Mustek has it on their pricelist, if you know of any dealers they could help you out. Its quite expensive though.

I guess it is expensive cos no one really makes it any more...

yeah you can expect to pay these prices:

256mb ... +/- R590 or R860
512mb ... +/- R1050

I'd personally just buy a new pc

Its very expensive to buy new. I got tons here sitting in my cupboard. You can have it....

i have a few pieces of pc133. One 256mb chip sitting here on my desk and some 128s. pm me if interested.

I also have quite a bit in my garage. I use it to beef up my friends old computers as they come along.

My P3 also needs an upgrade, only has 128mb, but when I added some more, it didn't pick it up. Does my BIOS need an upgrade?

Cool beans. So far it looks like I'll be getting 512MB from Conrad, but I will give you a shout if the need arises :)

I have a stick or two of PC133 lying around at home, will check exactly what I have. PM me if you are still interested. Will give it away.

Man ... old PC parts are expensive and rare!

I hae a P2, 256MB RAM with a 20GB HDD. All serious offers about R10,000 will be looked at. Pm me if you're interested ...

Got the package today. Conrad hooked me up big time :)

Got a 1GB stick, some 256s, 128s, and even a processor. Thanks man :)

Now all I need is to get my BIOS to recognise more than 256MB of it. There are three RAM slots and there was a 128MB stick in there when I bought the thing, so one would think this is possible.

Ideas anyone?
