No - they have the 10GB/20GB/30GB/40GB local usage allowance, after which they may charge you for extra local usage. So uncapped but potentially it can cost you...
 
Erm...question : a few people queried their technical team who informed them about 10gb local limit as from April?

How now brown cow?
 
um, where was the petition? so we can start 1 with regards to international cap pricing lol
 
so local bandwidth is free (as long as you pay for it) and uncapped with a threshold?

To anyone who believes that this was an "Error" at mweb u are being nieve.

They are definitaly gearing up to do somthing about the local... :mad:

But in the mean time they realised that they would loose customers and BAM! We won. Duh Duh DUh Duh, Duh Duh, Duh DUh! (sings the we won song out loud)

And who started the petition but yours truly. So thanx for signing everyone...
 
I may have to rescind my cancellation.

I will believe it was an "error" when someone can explain to me how the error occurred "just sommer".
 
I cancelled my account on condition that the local will become capped in April and it was accepted. They say it's because of SAIX putting pressure on them to 'lighten the load'...
 
then offer the service at an affordable price to everyone.....

Best petition you can make is stop threatening and leave MWEB!!!

If you want process to go down stop paying for the service, and ultimately process will fall.

clearly the economy of scale works in reverse order here in SA.

Point in case when ADSL had 50000 users there was no cap or shapeing...... when they reached 250000 3gb cap and shaped service came along.... .....

what can the average SA user use the local bandwidth for?
EVERYTHING is hosted overseas
when I'm capped I can't access any of my fav sites (expect myBB)
excellent value for money? - not if I can't use it
 
Then why did Mweb tell me that the 10gig cap will apply from 1 April? I have an email from their technical dept to this effect!
