The Touch HD is indeed a very nice all arounder. And it works (for a change) as advertisedA pity the camera (especially video rec) is nowhere near my old N95-8gig. And it does make use of Windows (Mobile). Just the thought of countless crashes puts me off. As long as you are not a real 'power user', the HD should be OK. Of course,it can't really compete with the versatility/stability and popularity of the s60 OS. If they make a Windows Mobile device without a RESET button, I might buy one and USE it as my main device
Until then the combination of my n95-8gig and AspireOne will have to do.
SourceGartner’s Q4 2008 results in – Windows Mobile doing OK, soundly outsells OSX
Gartner doesnt report too well on Windows Mobile, but their results is still an occasion for some discussion, be it positive or negative.
On this occasion the results could be interpreted rather positively.
According to Gartner 4.7 million Windows Mobile phones were sold to consumers in the last 3 months of 2008, which of course included the festive period. This is a 16% increase over sales in the previous Quarter (3.95 million) and a 7.8% increase Year on Year from 4.35 million. While Windows Mobile even saw a slight increase in market share from 11.9 to 12.4%, which should (but will not) silence critics who claim the operating system ins increasingly unpopular. In fact, more and more people chose it each year.

My favorite phone is the Nokia 1110, yes the little black and white screened one. It can call and SMS and it has a battery life that pwns every other phone. Besides if I want to check my email, I use my computer, If I want to listen to music, I use my computer, If I want to use a GPS, I use a GPS. Putting all the devices into one may be convenient, but it puts lots at stake if the phone gets lost
