iPhone 'Baby Shaker' causes a stir

Hmm it's not quite clear what the issue is with this app?

Is it because it uses a baby on the screen while you shake it [what's the point of the shaker?] Do you actually use it on a real baby? As in does it shut a -real- baby up by shaking this thing in front of the baby?

Or is it like a ringtone and you shake it to answer the phone and the devs went wrong by using a baby screaming as the theme [instead of say a salt shaker] ? And now offends people because it encourage people shaking their real babies ?
