Post Office strike declared unprotected

Just fire those absent without a valid reason. Maybe they will die of hunger or something and perhaps then they get the message.

The wage strike appeared to be over last Friday after the union issued a statement saying employees would return to work on Sunday.

ROFL :D

Sunday?! (CWU Master tricksed ussss!!!)

F8cking twits. I go to the post office and bank once a month. Today was the day, but the Post Office was closed. I hate them.

I lost quite a bit of money, since I had to return a faulty item ordered from overseas. There was a 10 day period in which I had to return it.
:-(

Agreed!!

Phoned the post office head office this morning to ask them if they are still striking, and they said the strike is over and everyone should be back to work as per normal and post will start flowing normal in the next few days.

Let's hope....been waiting for a few items from eBay for a few weeks now. I hope it hasn't gone missing!

Post Office back to normal

Pretoria – The Post Office can confirm that operations are back to normal countrywide. All branches are open and mail is being delivered. Additional shifts were worked over the weekend in the various mail centres and we hope to have cleared the current backlog by Thursday.

Customers who want to post time-sensitive items during this week may consider using the Speed Services courier option. We thank our customers for their understanding during this difficult time and assure them that we are doing our utmost to get their post delivered.

I paid R50 to send something with speed services, and cant even find the tracking number online. Don't mind the money, as much as I mind the fact that the item I was supposed to deliver has not reached its destination....

Whats that rubbish about using speed survices insted? and they say they are independnt of SAPO. BS! I phoned them on friday and they said they were still striking, but illegely!

Was at the post office yesterday, no post. Empty box, I asked inside when i will be receiving post...eish its a big back log....fsukers should have been back at work last week Monday!!

I still say fire the lot of them
