Caution urged in cellphone and wireless devices use

It had better be safe. Besides, I've been using a cellphone since they ran the first trial runs in the early nineties, ...but i hvea not exprianecd nay pbrolems wiht booldflow to ym bairn yet... :D

I am basically a walking test subject as well - within 50 m of a mobile and WiMax tower, three hotspots with 1 m, mobile phones and the like. I have not experienced any problems other than not making enough money to my mobile bill :D

does it count if you sleep with your phone? i usually fall asleep while texting/chatting and wake up with it underneath me, or somewhere.

This happens to me as well.. It can't be good for you, but probably isn't too bad for you either.

Like the French authorities are saying, rather by safe for now, until there is more conclusive evidence. Try to limit your exposure.

That's not the kind of question you should be asking in this forum - SIS man!
You should be asking your wife that :p

It's only a problem if you keep waking up with strange handsets which you don't have a contract for.

Always use protection and remember: Pay as You Go may seem convenient but in the long term it can cost you dearly in termination fees.

What about guys driving with the phone on the seat between the legs? Cannot be good for the goolies!

Not all the tingling in the scrotum's gonna come from the vibration.

I really dont know whats up and what damage these may or may not cause, but I have noticed natural selection favors those who practice caution... so I try keep my phone away from my body when I am at home unless I have to use it.

You only have to look at todays youth to see the evidence !;):)

Hmmm and to think I was ridiculed by some, particularly those involved in the cellphone industry, when questioning the safety of a cell tower being installed on our building roof....

Lancelot, you and I agree  :D

Who would believe it!! ;)

I have said it a thousand time here and every time there are some guys here who at face value seem to work for the cell industry

Yeah, I am sorry but until the evidence is conclusive then I'll be cautious. One has to wonder how much money the cellphone companies are throwing at these "studies" to ensure they say that the evidence is inconclusive. And as stated in the article not one study has been able to look at the long term effects as we have not had this sort of exposure for a long term yet...

And the biggest joke is these cell companies who are rolling in profits offer a measly R3000-odd rand or so per month to have their towers on our roof!
