Telkom 8 Mbps ADSL plans

Do you guys think there is a relation between the speed upgrade and the fact that Telkom still has a share in Super 5 media and that S5M have plans to launch IPTV next year.
 
Actually, my "guess" is that the IPTv relationship will be with MultiChoice.
 
Well, hopefully they will up their minimum packages, ie,
384 -> 1024
512 -> 2048
4096 -> 8192

Here is hoping !!!
 
I wish they would give people that would really use the 8 mbit, 8mbit.
 
As long as I am on a capped package, 8mbit is useless for me. My 4 meg line works fine. Now if we had much bigger caps...it would be a different story.
 
A recent notice relating to the Constantia Park IMAX which took place over the weekend reads: “Implementation of the 8 Meg trial. All current 4 Meg customers on the 4 Meg sync profile will be upgraded to the 8 Meg sync profile.”

I am on that exchange, and guess what? NO 8Meg! What BS these guys talking about? Call the call center and they don't know jack...fun times!

and yet we still have 384kbps and that wont be upgraded to 1 mb.

Doesnt matter what you do telkom you will always suck.
 
I get the impression old Reuben is a touch lost in his pay cheque. Much like the others before him, they tend to rather disgust, than impress...

If telkom wants to give me a free upgrade, ill take it, im not saying the caps are okay, im just saying be happy, they're gonna double your line speed to stay competitive

Don't get me wrong, I'll gladly accept a free speed upgrade. I'm just not that excited about it.
 
I am down in KZN, Stanger area, i am looking carefully for a notice for one of our exchanges to be upgrade :D
