ADSL price cuts passed on to end users

While SEACOM was welcomed for brining competition to SAT-3, the lack of built-in redundancy as seen with SAT-3/SAFE has been fingered as one of the reasons why SEACOM’s effect may not be as pronounced as initially expected.

Two questions:

1. How many hours has Seacom gone down since it went online?
2. How many hours has our service been disrupted due to a mess-up on the ISP's side rather than the cable (SAT-3/Seacom)?

I would think that No.2 has been more common.

Possibly, but at least it's becoming more transparent... before you wouldn't have a clue and needed an insider at Telkom to tell you the truth when the net broke. :p
