it's a pity that vodacom is so greedy with the iPhone, it really is a superior phone, but way too expensive...I mean, waaaayyyy too expensive!

My trusty 16GB 3G iPhone will always be my 1st choice. 
I am a Blackberry user (low end phone though), and apart from the problems last year I am happy with the service. I dont however think it can rival devices like the iPhone when it comes to multimedia capabilities...but then again I have a TV at home if I want to watch movies

As a business phone I think Black Berry is very good. Integration into email and intranet via BES make it a great tool in the hands of employers and employees alike.
As a personal phone with just BIS and multimedia, I might look around but still lean towards it as a ultimate comunications platform.

The Droid/Milestone does not have an additional proprietary user interface like the HTC Hero. It runs Android 2.x and that's it. No proprietary interface.

By year end 2010, all those other manufactures would have forgotten about those phones, be it N97, Hero etc. With Apple, external interface remain relatively the same, with newer models,internalhardware gets improved and the OS as well.
To my misery, last year I bought an Omnia, it seems like Samsung has totally forgot about it.
