Please go to the Carte Blanche web site (www.carteblanche.co.za) and click on 'Submit a Story'. Tell them about Telkom's ADSL threat etc. Give them links to the myadsl site to read more.

If enough of us do this they will surely run a story about this. Telkom needs to be exposed!
 
i think they only run a story if its substantial and appeals to the everyday man on the street

The implications of what Telkom are threatening are VERY SUBSTANTIAL and will affect everyone in this country. I'm surprised you can't see this.
 
i was just saying it looks like an idle threat, I mean maybe they will but we all know its not going to happen so I don't think its substantial as in I don't think they are pulling out of ADSL (and they do have long term adsl contracts with companies and individuals). And the thing about joe average I just meant they dont decide what becomes a story based on the amount of submissions they get they decide on whats more entertaining.

People like the sting shows and sex stuff.
 
Things like this will really piss the general public off, so it's got a good chance, methinks.
 
Submitted one too! If enough people do this they'll HAVE to take notice.

EDIT: Come on guys! Hundreds of you read this thread and do nothing! This isn't much to ask and will take you 10 minutes to do. All you have to do is mention the ICASA findings, mention Telkoms response, mention MyADSL and put in a few links! It could end up in something cool.

AND you can tell everybody "I did that! I did that!" if Carte Blanche airs the story! Priceless.
 
Added my 5c as well.

Sheer volume might force them to recognise the importance of this.
 
cartblanch keeps timing out when i try submit... i think joo's are floodin their poor server :) telkom didnt allocate tehm enuff bandwidth... lol

Just don't stop trying. You must submit, resistance is futile!

Looks like we've got about 10 submissions so far. Come guys, more submitting less reading.
