Hi folks

The database server seemed to have struggled after a particularly heavy load. I just had an interview on 702 and there were also articles regarding MyADSL on Fin24 and ITWeb which may have cased some of the additional load. We apologize for the short downtime...

Nice work getting it going again so soon. This is the only place fast enough for me to browse and then it went. Well done on still being fast even when the rest of the dsl network is slow :D GREAT JOB
 
Look - I don't care what caused it, but do NOT let it happen again. While the site was down, I had to (shudders) work.

Hi BTTB

There were a few restarts which resets the number of users. I have no idea what the problem may be as we have had many more users at the same time than this. Maybe time for a server upgrade…

The people are logging on as we speak.
The server is getting hammered.
Within 6 minutes, roughly 200 people logged on to MyADSL

We have no idea why the server can not handle this load...it did so very easily previously. I am waiting for feedback and hope the issue will be resolved soon.

Are you sure it was a load issue? Quite often problems occur co-incidently with another factor - and the two seem related.

Hi guys

It was indeed down. They have no idea what the problem may be. It is currently in Hetzner's hands so lets hope they find the problem.
