Where ever the best 3g signal is
Down in Fish Hoek I am getting loads of disconnects and 2 or 3 619's before I can connect again.

Started a couple of hours ago.

Is anyone else having problems?

I've also experienced numerous disconnects since yesterday - I'm in the city bowl, Vredehoek, at the moment. What on earth is going on at Vodacom, that precipitates this kind of intermittent service for a product which is so expensive? There seems to be zero proactivity when it comes to service delivery.

Should anyone watching the v3g alias notice this post, it appears to occur when a connection is attempted after a bout of inactivity. Yawn, same old story which has reared its head since earlier this year. (I pity those vodacom users who bother to waste their time logging calls via 155).

At least I am not alone.

Whats new here is that I get 2 or 3 619's before I can connect again.

I don't even attempt 155 calls anymore that is a total waste of time. Only hope is that v3g will see this thread!

Pinelands - same problem.
I took the Dell 620 with inbuilt card option.
A housemate with an Del 620 and an pcmcia card has good connectivity.
Logged with 155, they suggested that we swop sim card and check if that makes a difference....
To me that makes zero sense.

THere is a problem affecting the 'Southern Side' of Cape Town, looks like all of you guys are in this area. (With the obvious exception of Rabbiddog, who suffering from sympathy-disconnects!)

Rabbiddog, the guys are looking at your area at the moment.

Don't want to jinx anything, but since I last posted I haven't been disconnected again.
mmm
