HTC launches smallest mobile computer

time to sell another body part :)

hmmm my right leg does not do much, should get some good value on the black market

I dont get these mini mobile computers. if its not small and light enough to comfortably fit in ur pocket, then you might as well just carry around a laptop which is more powerful, bigger screen, prob cheaper, etc

I think the instant-on feature of these devices is what makes them more usable than a notebook.

I've got three notebooks of which one is a small HP Tablet PC. The Tablet PC is very nice but startup times are very slow because Standby and Hybernate does not always work. It is for this reason that I've been using Windows Mobile devices (Palm before that).

I've recently upgraded to a HTC TyTN II and am very impressed.

I do think that the Shift will fit nicely between my TyTN II and my Tablet PC. Mmmmmmmm, thinking ;)

E90 + laptop combination works great for me ... covers all bases properly ... so for now for me this very expensive R15k half-this-half-that device is not an option.

I have to agree with you on the price issue. This is a toy for MDs of rich corporates. You can buy a VERY decent notebook for the same price.

R15k for me is a Lenovo T61 or similar (Dell) ... not something like this. But I guess there are enough people around with money to burn on gadgets like these.
