The (new) acting CEO.Whos This
He is The One.Whos This
But what informs these suspicions?Suspect the maintenance schedule has been suspended and everything is now being run flat out to make the new MOE and Eskom board look peachy, proactive and productive.
Only going to make the situation worse in the longer term.
/edit - call me cynical
Ah yes, I had stage 0 though. We didn't have stage 0 it was stage 1
All these excuses just because we don't want to give credit where it's due? What has Cassim ever done to you?The heat is on, so the cadres have probably been told to back off from the trough and sabotage for a while. We need to make the new Minister look good you know.........
Looking at their numbers, no.Suspect the maintenance schedule has been suspended and everything is now being run flat out to make the new MOE and Eskom board look peachy, proactive and productive.

It's an improvement, the system has not miraculously came back to being 100% optimum, can we now stop with all the conspiracies and say Dankie Mr Cassim?I had the same thought earlier. Just keep it working long enough to get through the elections.
Lol.......he has only been there 2 weeks AND he is not an Electrical Engineer remember, as was the narrative with De RuyterAll these excuses just because we don't want to give credit where it's due? What has Cassim ever done to you?
There are plenty of engineers at Eskom who run the show, not the CEO, the only difference here is that Cassim knows how to coordinate his forces to work towards a common goal, a mate who works for Eskom tells me that ever since Cassim took over Eskom is like a different place, the morale is high and the results are now showing, something that was missing under De Ruyter.Lol.......he has only been there 2 weeks AND he is not an Electrical Engineer remember, as was the narrative with De Ruyter
A whole day of industry shutting down far outweighs what people use at home. Tuesday is easy lifting for Eskom. And doesn't power increase in the evening when everyone is home.
Wouldn't it be higher during the day because everyone will be home?
As I said earlierThere are plenty of engineers at Eskom who run the show, not the CEO, the only difference here is that Cassim knows how to coordinate his forces to work towards a common goal, a mate who works for Eskom tells me that ever since Cassim took over Eskom is like a different place, the morale is high and the results are now showing, something that was missing under De Ruyter.
Yes, I also have mates at Eskom like everybody else.
Don't buy it.......as @Vorastra said, how does it suddenly sort itself out in 2 weeks??There are plenty of engineers at Eskom who run the show, not the CEO, the only difference here is that Cassim knows how to coordinate his forces to work towards a common goal, a mate who works for Eskom tells me that ever since Cassim took over Eskom is like a different place, the morale is high and the results are now showing, something that was missing under De Ruyter.
Yes, I also have mates at Eskom like everybody else.
What exactly has sorted itself out?As I said earlier

Yes morale IS probably higher because they got De Ruyter out of the way. No more spanners in the way. (Excuse the pun)
As you say, it's not the CEO it's the Senior Managers, Maintenance Engineers, Planning Engineers, Technicians etc etc that run the show below him.
Didn't they all follow best practice/ maintenance schedules irrespective who was there as CEO?
What exactly has sorted itself out?
Remember how De Ruyter used to suspend power station managers every week? That was what was killing the moral according to my mate.
BEE is back. They never should've brought in that incompetent Non-BEE bloke.Amazing how suddenly things can be done.
Suspend does not mean getting rid of someone. Sometimes it's just used to frustrate people you don't like hoping they go away, sometimes it doesn't work.He at least had the guts to get rid of criminals and saboteurs. Now it will be a feast for all again.

Suspended Eskom managers back at work in top positions
The power station managers who were suspended because of “serious issues of apathetic behaviour” are back at Eskom in top positions.mybroadband.co.za
They went back during the same De Ruyter's time because there was no case against them, do you have trouble with reading? All the crims back to feast, as I said.
Listen, you.BEE is back. They never should've brought in that incompetent Non-BEE bloke.
