Grand Theft Auto 6

BT Games doesn't have the Ultimate edition, which is weird: https://btgames.co.za/product-tag/grand-theft-auto-vi/

Also not sure why anyone would buy a digital-only code from them. In-store pickup of your boxed code at least has a little excitement.

No one, other than the xbox and playstation platforms will have the ultimate edition if you ask me. Too much trouble to maintain another SKU on the retail side. Easier for them to capture all of those sales with the R400 upgrade.

And so much for a Collector's edition.

Give it time, we might still see a collector's edition.

It best not be linked to game codes, or there will be riots from the people who already bought Ultimate on pre-order now. Apparently with Read Dead they brought out a collector's tin with special items, and no game. That might make sense here, but still feels like a missed opportunity to make the game pre-order more special.

This gets thrown around a lot but I don't think it's really true. The number of double dippers is not that big to make a meaningful difference.

You can go look at their financials, PC accounts for a mere 8% of their total revenue, they simply prioritise consoles.

Most probably because 92% of PC gamers will pirate GTA6.

No way am I paying that kind of money for more 'woke' nonsense. It's sad that grown men are fascinated with virtual Latina boobies instead of just going to the beach for real. What else does the game really offer?

I also refuse to buy a PS5 or Series X so I can't play it anyway nor do I want to. I'll watch a YouTube walkthrough video though.

Oh, here comes The Gelded again with his salty sour grapes about consoles again.

We’re talking about GTA here, not the company’s total lifetime sales.

Feel free to look up how much alone the PC Enhanced Edition has sold since launch. those are hardly rookie numbers.

And citing 8% is just shifting the goalposts. For GTA specifically, that percentage would be significantly higher.

There's some rumour of an actual physical disc releasing around December.
That rumour doesn't make much sense tbh. "Millions" of people who would prefer a disc version are currently busy preordering a code. If R* intended a disc version shortly after the November launch then surely they would have communicated that to prevent screwing millions of people. They can't be THAT scummy...

Yes, the RDR2 collector's box did not include the game and was available by along-side the pre-orders. Per what I recall the CE edition of GTA5 was only announced later, so we might still get to see it. Will be crazy expensive though. Till that happens: missed opportunity

Or they would have just waited the extra month to release it... :p
