The Courier Guy / Pudo - A Broken System and Frustrating Experience

I'm just referring everyone to BobGo. They don't have the same footprint of lockers but their service and cost is better than the current pudo offering.
Seems they don't do locker-to-locker yet, it says "Coming soon" on the website. Pity because the bobbox lockers are 20 metres from the PUDO ones by me.

As a business doing more than 10 per day, the door to locker works out better for me but locker to locker would definitely be better for the average person needing to send something every now and then.

The driver picks up from me daily just after 2pm.

Went to fetch parcel but PUDO box doesn't work or doesn't recognise the PIN. So now to go to the Kiosk which is slower than Zuma. Honestly people should just stop using this service.

Picked up a parcel last week. No problems.
Delivery took 2 days from Cape Town to Durban.

Can I use this thread to share my frustration with the courier guy (happens with aramex as well) .

I live in a very big estate with a concierge office. The courier guy does not care that the shop promised a door to door delivery and also does not check for the "otp", whats the point of the otp if they don't check?
They will just dump all the parcels at the concierge office (about 2km from me) and message me successful delivery!

On Thursday I injured my foot.
I messaged the company I ordered from , explained the situation, and asked them to advise the courier guy to please delievery to the door, I sent the same email to TCG.

I am sure you all know what happened next...."SUCCESSFUL DELIVERY!"

Once I demanded my shipment fees from the shop, they charged me R150 for "door to door" so they didn't argue much, and because the TCG ignore my emails I usually make it the shop's problem.
I know this whole thing is very "Karen of me" but I don't have time to go there and fetch my parcels all the time.

By the way, this NEVER happens with take a lot or Buffalo , so I usually stick with them.

Have you considered telling your concierge desk to have the couriers deliver to you door, and not take delivery themselves?

Sounds like the problem is with your estate accepting the parcels.

I told them not to accept my parcels, but I also not want to confuse them too much because sometimes it's a useful service.
They should check if I say it's ok or not, but I guess this is too much to ask.

But last time I told them DO NOT ACCEPT anything, they wrote a little note and of course accepted it.

I think TCG comes here with a lot of parcels, they just sign for everything and check later.

It's both with them AND TCG. TCG are not meant to deliver to anyone who doesn't have the PIN and they can't ask for a signature from anyone but the recipient without the recipient's permission.
Oh but they do. I've received parcels (recently) on behalf of others - obviously I don't have the pin - and they're happy with X as the signature.

Onto Pudo, my wife dropped off a parcel last week, and there was already someone else's parcel in the locker. She contacted support (while at the lockers) and was told to take the parcel home and they'd collect from her. Guess what? It's still here.

I attempted to ship a package with TCG last week, but it wasn't collected. When I checked the online tracking later in the day it showed it had in fact been collected - they had somehow mixed up the waybills. Also in a large estate where they were probably delivering/collecting multiple packages.

TCG is not the only courier company that dumps packages at the concierge though, Amazon deliveries by DPD Laser often get dropped off with no notification.

Logged a call this morning, with both TCG and Litehouse Lighting (the shop) and not a word.
Maybe I'll get my heater in summer....

things get broken en route and you sign for it, they'll just pull out the fine print that says you received it in good order

I know it wasn't a reply to me, but this is exactly why I am amazed they allow strangers signing for my parcel. who will be responsible if something break?

Well, TCG just knocked on my door with the parcel and an apology, I just hope they didn't play soccer with my parcel.
