Xbox Series X / S

There's no evidence of that since PS5 sales are closely aligned to PS4 sales. If that did happen like you suggest then there would have been a noticeable increase along the curve. Most Xbox users probably switched to PC.

Yea you can literally go see on their income statement how much it hurts lol, not sure what you are trying to say.

My point was that of the console makers XBOX is the only one in the red, the other two are not, no matter how you try and spin it.

I continuously find it amusing that AJ keeps on trying to diss the PS/Sony, even though he went over to the dark side and got a PS.

I think he hates himself for it, and it comes out in these nonsensical comments.

Nando's is in a different league to Kentucky.

Nando's would NEVER let you pay for nuggets then tell you you can't have them a few years later because the packaging expired.

Just as an aside, XB has been declared dead since Halo combat evolved :)

I wonder how much of that cost and time was spent on Sweet Baby...
And no doubt their involvement also scared away some potential sales and made some headlines back then. Nowadays you keep any divisive activist crap and politics out of your movies/tv-shows or games otherwise you stand a good chance of getting shunned by the actual real consumers and buyers.

Yeah, I think Xbox leaned way too much into that. The Asian based companies (Sony, Nintendo), hell even Asian based games has been a lot more successful over the last few years than the Western companies.

When they try to cater for 10% of the market, it will show in sales.

Hectic

Microsoft is laying off 4,800 employees today, and more than 30 percent of the job losses are in the company's Xbox division.

Today's layoffs, which are being described as an Xbox "reset" moment, will impact around 1,600 Xbox employees, approximately 8 percent of the division, according to an internal memo from Xbox CEO Asha Sharma.

The cuts won't end today though, as Microsoft is planning to eliminate a total of around 15 percent of Xbox jobs by the end of the financial year in July 2027.

These figures don't include the hundreds of Xbox employees leaving as part of Microsoft's four studio sales.

Double Fine and Compulsion Games are returning to their founders

Compulsion Games an indie game studio again.

Ninja Theory, the makers of Hellblade, and Undead Labs, the developers behind State of Decay, are also being sold, with agreements in place to ensure Senua and State of Decay 3 continue to ship.

Arkane being sold too

See what the Game Pass Bros did. Sies. The writing was on the wall. Xbox wanted a pool, and a pool is only that big, yet they bought everyone in, and 'everyone' yea to the subs.

Just like then, 'everyone', is again buying in on the story. Good guy campaigning is not good at all. Gamers never learn.

Nevermind that the messaging isn't all too organic. Yet in a world where AI gets questioned, bullschit still sells.

I am only glad that some studios are going back being independent... Lol, yeah, time will tell whether they will be independent.

Good on Larian never to have accepted the Xbox deal.

Here's a video about everything for those who don't feel like reading. (I listened to it in the background while doing other things)

letting go of all these shopping spree studios they acquired seems to be the only way they feel they can keep going. Gamepass has made these studios produce mid products due to the safe bubble and not worried about sales. Keep 3-4 in house studios to look after your IP's such as Halo, Gears, Forza etc

Yeah, writing was on the wall. They never should have tried to out buy the competition.

Jirr, 14 layer management in certain places.. no fookin wonder things are for a ball of shyte.

Cut the fat, go back to basics, look after your core IP's.

No, that was a K@k buy, but at the same time, you invested so much that you almost can't let it go now.

They are banking on the yearly COD sales to keep things ticking over and reading that statement from Asha, Candy crush etc

What the hell is Blizzard even doing anymore? Is there really that many WOW subscribers still?
