During my very brief run, before my knee gave issues I tried out the Deviate Nitro Pure. It provides a very bouncy ride, didn't have time to test it at faster paces though. Comfort is far superior to the Velocity Nitro 4 even though the Pure is more minimal/stripped down with padding. Prefer the tongue on the Pure as well. The purse is also super light. Just based on that brief 1km run, I'd definitely opt for the Pure over the VN4.
Since I was afraid of the midfoot being too narrow like the VN4 I opted to go for half a size up. I think I could have gone with my normal shoe size and be fine since Puma does tend to be long. The midfoot on the Pure is wider than the VN4 and doesn't give any issues. Pure is also more stable as a result.
