Afrihost - Pure Fibre Feedback Thread Part 2

Is Afrihost's SMTP server experiencing issues? I keep getting a 451 Temporary local problem when I try to relay mail through it:

Hi.

Please check.

I have logged a fault with Vuma.
reference number 01689244
Hi, please can you log another fault.

The same issue has started again.

The appeared to have "fixed it" on monday, yesterday it was okay but there was a small moment of issues, today my connection keeps dropping again.

Please have this urgently escalated. I'm disconnecting from all my client calls.

Could you please tell me what the Openserve fault in Sasolburg is, I know they've aware of it, I just want to know what is broken?

Hi.

Unfortunately, Openserve does not provide specific details about what is causing the fault. They only share the fault reference and indicate whether technicians are attending on-site or handling the issue remotely. At this stage, we therefore don't have further information on exactly what is broken.

Hi.

I disputed the resolution for 01689244

Oh dear! It seems like the non-communicated, unpublished double-speed promotion has come to an abrupt end

Yes, noticed the same thing here. Had an Openserve outage for a couple of hours today and when the service was restored things were back to... 'what it says on the tin'. Ah well, those linux isos will still come through eventually.

@Afrigirl

Are there any current network issues? Since yesterday afternoon things have been weird, sites not loading and then loading again or loading slow, flakey dns at times.

Also why are 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8 no longer responding to icmp echo requests, just noticed that now while doing some testing.

Please share the tests. You are with Frogfoot?
