So...I got my Cell C speed stick today....

I was advised that I need to contact the call centre to activate my sim....

After being on hold for 50 MINUTES the call is dropped.

Not happy with Cell C right now......

WTF Cell C...poor customer service much?
 
I didn't phone the Call Center to activate my Sim, I had it Rica'd put it in the Modem and voila? :confused:
 
Yeah, the speedstick SIMs are pre-provisioned with all the goodies, so RICA should be the only thing u need to do...

Hi Quey_Quick, all you need to do is RICA your sim card, please PM if you are still having any issues...DM

Sorry for the rant. Still having issues tho. Sim not found. Could this be because it hasnt been RICA'd yet?

Perhaps you should not focus on this specific complaint alone, and start listening to the deafening roar of constant complaints about what you euphemistically call "customer service?"

From personal experience, it is simply not possible to speak to a consultant, let alone one with an IQ above room temperature. It appears to me that CellC have generated a HUGE amount of goodwill by offering a top class product. You are, however, rapidly losing that goodwill through non-existent customer service.

I agree wholeheartedly.... Logged a complaint with Tell Trevor as well.
 
Why didn't you Rica the Sim in store? You won't get anywhere trying to phone or pm, it won't work until it's been through the Rica process.

It was through cell c direct. I was ill advised by the agent will visit a store over the weekend.
 
Ok took some time off work and went to the cell c sandton city store. Spoke to the guy in store, he checked for me and he claims the sim is RICA'd and needs to be activated. So back to the call centre on line with 084 145. Call started at 14:00.

Get the guys name and report him to head office for incompetence!! Once the card is rica'd it's activated.
 
*sigh*

Will have to go the weekend, won't be able to take it before then.

Although I did put the sim into my phone and I can make calls and surf.
