Dude, don't even try to compete with an Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X (Can get 14 hours of Screen on time)

If you noticed in my screenshot I did mention that was with 2:30 hours of Screen On (aka usage) That is with screen set to full brightness as well because of the crappy factory screen cover (Waiting for my clear one to arrive). Pure standby this puppy can go way beyond a week.
But he said he gets between 6-10 hours on his iPhone, that is hardly much in terms of usage time. That is hardly a full day's use, so I'm confused.

I can't repeat this enough, but how one uses its phone can differ between users, and usage time and battery life can vary.

Yes if I bought a phone to be on standby lol.
Android cannot switch apps fast enough and you can talk all the **** you want but the UI is single threaded. Your multi cores don't help.

Android can't switch apps fast enough? Heck since when has Apple had the ability to multi task?

That is why I like Android it does have this nice SOT measurement where you can see when and what is actual use. Screenshot also shows my Wifi and LTE was both on, none of this sleeping bull some phones pull.

Open Google maps and order an Uber.
Email comes through with something to check.
Need to open Trello to follow up on that work item.
Open Uber to look at what time my driver is coming.
Open Slack to message friend and discuss some things.
Switch back to email and start composting.

Switching between all those apps works perfectly on iOS, I know because I had to wait on a Huawei P9 lite.

We know memory management on Android isn't the best and those speed test videos confirm it. Like I said, multi cores don't mean anything when your UI is single threaded.

See like so 3D Touch

Cool. I'm aware that android can do that. But 3D Touch is not just about touching an icon.

You know 3D touch is pressure sensitive right? It's not merely holding an icon.

In fact Windows Phone also had something in the works before it got canned.

He knows, considering the industry he currently works in ;)

Of course I do, but I don't see what is so unique about it. For me personally, I just go into an app, click on a tweet as an example, and that's it. It's not as if it takes you hours to click on an app, and just do whatever inside of the app.

You haven't played fully with it. It can do more than just that. But you should know considering the industry you're in?

Comparing a 4100mAh with a 2900mAh? Apples and oranges.

Erm. Usage time. Meaning 9-11 hours while actually using the phone. You know, screen on, browsing, mails, Tapatalk etc. Not stand by.

A Huawei P9 lite. Any other Android device you tested?

I have 25 apps open on my Note 4 at present, and switching between them without any issues. Not sure why it was a struggle for you.

Really? On the stock Samsung OS?
When I mean switch, they have to return to the previous state, I don't want to wait for them to be brought into memory.

Um so for 11 hours straight you used the phone? Interesting.

Also, what did you do before 3D touch was introduced? You making as if 3D touch is all that, and while Android might not be the same, it was around for many years.

3D touch is not just holding the screen
It's like saying facial recognition and iris scanning is the same thing.

Don't worry when he said that I knew he was talking ***, Not a single iPhone on the market can do that. Esp seeing that iOS have no measure for it really. Apple themselves claim that iOS report's background Activity as "Usage time"

On actual test most phones die on hour 4 to 5.

Stock Samsung OS yes, and yes previous state. In general I get what you are saying, but a few years ago, it was mentioned that initially once you open a few apps, it would go into memory, but once in, and you return, it should be smooth sailing.

So I'm confused as to why the S7 Edge would continuously wait for the app to go into a memory state, and then open up smoothly. Firmware up to date?

Knock yourself out. Look at all his videos vs and android powered phone. The results are the same. iPhone can't multitask, ok.

I have to ask, are you having difficulties to understand what I am posting here? You get screen on time, meaning you're actually using your damn phone, doing something on it. Then you get stand by time. Who uses their phone straight for 10 hours nonstop. If you would, in that case then yes, your usage time and standby time are the same.

Not using the phone now.

Went from Windows Phone to Android and now on iOS.

Might return to Windows depending what happens with the ARM and Windows 10 devices plan.
