Hi folks

A quick survey: As a DSL1024 subscriber, have you been upgraded to 4096 Kbps?

Just a quick Yes/No will be great, but even better if you also give your region...

1/2 upgraded - Pe

QN: Are you upgraded when your sync speed says 4096 or when telkom unfetters the line? My sync speed is 4096 and my line speed is still 1024.

EDIT - Conclusion - not upgraded yet.

Are we talking actual speeds or 4096/384 synch?

Because I am in PMB, just had my line upgraded from 384 to 1024 today, and am synching at 4096/384 but do not, as of yet, have 4mb speeds.

Yes, Bellville, Capetown (only sync speed)

Correction

i don't think anyone has?

comes into effect from 1 September.

Telkom Home and BusinessDSL 1024 customers will get a whole lot more from their high-speed DSL access to the Internet as of September 2006 when the DSL 1024 offering will be increased to an up-to 4 megabits per second speed on a trial basis,” Telkom said.

The 4 Mbps service will be trialled with all Home and BusinessDSL 1024 customers nationally. Customers on the 1024 service will be upgraded to the highest speed possible up-to 4 Mbps during the trial, while the DSL 1024 access rate of R516.00 excluding line rental and ISP charges will remain.

If the trial proves successful Telkom intends replacing the DSL 1024 product with the new service.

Sorry - I dont see it as an upgrade until there is a tangible improvement.

not once did anyone say it will be before 1 Sept did they? it just shows telkom is busy preparing for the upgrade. getting as many to "sync" at 4mbps as possible before friday.

I'm waiting for speed test results from upgraded users after 1 September.. with Telkom there's always small print and some kind of catch so will rather wait a few days before upgrading.
