10GB for 599 offer

Hello,

I have enough airtime to buy this, but can you buy this with airtime? The R599 for 10GB data that lasts for a year.
If I go to the USSD menu I don't see it there, and the Cell C app/website has got a 10GB/R599 offer there but it doesn't say if it's this one or something else - it appears under both the once off and monthly dropdowns.

Any advise?
 
I would be very careful with this.

I bought a R599 for 10GB data valid for 3 months via the *109# USSD code. When it was loaded on my phone it shows it is only valid for 30 days. After a number of phone calls CellC corrected it to 90 days but indicated that with the next purchase I must go to one of their branches.
After 3 monhs I did that and only afterwards discover that they loaded the 365 day package on my number.
Afterwards I discovered that my airtime was disappearing at a alarming rate.
Upon enquiry CellC informed me that the R599 for 10GB data valid for 365 days is only their own network and excludes roaming on the Vodacom network. As soos as it uses the Vodacom network it uses your airtime for data and it seems like it does that at a premium.

Damn, sounds like you had the experience happen I was trying to avoid :(
Yeah I think I made a mistake buying the airtime and then trying to buy the bundle, I should have just bought the bundle from the Cell C website directly for my number.

The bundle that lasts for 365 days is only available at a Cell C store.

Can the CellC representative indicate whether their coverage map only shows the CellC network or does it includes the roaming on Vodacom as well?

Hi Minosc

Our coverage map would only display the Cell C network. Roaming is advised on a case by case basis.
