Hi. I got the 10 gig data promo. The first time I connected is sent in the code for my balance and got the following back.

You have used 0 MB of data and have 8192 MB available. 8192 MB will expire on 30/11/2011.
Time: 07/11/2011 19:34:43

Does anyone know if they pro-rate your bundle or did they short change me?
 
Do they charge a pro rata amount though? I still haven't been billed for october

If you got the package in October then October should have been pro-rated and not November. November should be 10Gb minus whatever you have used to date.

Cost is also pro-rated.

I am not OP. I signed up in October, he signed up in November... I only got 8gb too.
 
Thanks for the info. Have not yet received any bills. Maybe my first month will be pro-rated then.
 
8ta service - the worst in the country

I have had "pro rata" for 3 months! After contacting 8ta, I was told to wait 72 working hours for a reply.
Still nothing
tweeted 3 times
FB twice
Email 5 times
Phoned twice.

I am given the same email address and nothing is corrected.
I am at a loss as where to go next.
any advice?
 
When i signed up, a while ago, this is how it worked.

Your first month will be pro-rata. The following month will be you full 10gig.

However, if you signed up in October - you will be billed only on the 1st December 2011.

So that means, your pro-rate in October + November Subscriptions amount + once-off fee (R200) = Paid in December.
That`s how mine worked.

After this, everything works smoothly and the correct amounts and data are charged and given.
 
I got my invoice yesterday.
Pro rata october, sim + connection, november and a bit of OOB data for a total of R620 to be paid on 30 November.
