And in most places in SA you can't even get a 10mbps line even if you wanted to try this
Also, you would probably want to use uncapped unshaped prices to give a fair comparison to Estonia's 40mbps:
4 * 10Mbps Telkom DSL Line's plus line rental = R2211.88
4 * R4999 = R19996
Total cost = R22207.88
Off topic: what goes on in Estonia, besides smoking weed?![]()

These numbers don't seem to reflect what's reported by Netindex

The mobile guys:
5. Vodacom - 4.43Mbps
8. Cell C - 3.35Mbps
11. MTN - 2.67Mbps
so how is Parow in cape town rocking an average of 11.99Mbps?
That's because the article clearly states: "This is according to Ookla’s global Net Index broadband speed statistics."
Unconfused?
FML! =/ I swear all of this is just to make us feel more crap about everything.. Strangle me with some copper wire and stuff a telscum bill in my mouth!
http://www.tomsguide.com/us/Russia-MegaFon-Contest-Unlimited-Data-3G,news-14122.html - WTF!
Exactly, hurts you to have many 384 clients for these tests. Better would be to measure actual throughput to paid for speed.MWEB probably have more clients than the rest and most will be on 384K so that's why those numbers are low...
Yes, that puts it in perspective - mobile guys generally can't compete there (Try VOIP and video before you argue with me on that one)And the Quality Index?
1. Telkom 85.99
2. MWEB Connect 82.44
3. MWEB Connect 80.42
4. Internet Solutions 79.96
Ha ha, nice try. Parow has fibre to the exchange, the exchanges have the latest equipment and many business customers buying the fastest ADSL line they can get. Perfect, dense business customers with solid backhaul right there. If only that were the case in so many other areas!Parrow seems to always be on top and I've even been blamed for it
But I suspect it might be MWEB headoffice's core tests that's driving the average up. All those Seacom tests to check if the cable is up.![]()
I think I failed my make-sense check coz I dunno wtf you said there ......
You are leaving this country, aren't you?
I'm just getting you more excited. Gaming is ganna be awesome. You will have fast interweb, and no lag! (Unless of course you're conencting to ZA servers - but you obviously wouldn't need this![]()

Still Parow? Why not then Midrand or Sandton?
