If I'm not mistaken, yes. I'm not really in that part of the company, but I saw them lugging one of the units around the other day and they shared the specs with me. If you're really interested, I could probably find out what brand it was?

There are also units made by an israeli firm. Uses 35mm canon es mount lenses.

What should one look out for in a medium - high end dvr

What is the average price for these models?

In order of importance:
- Recording resolution. D1 is best.
- Recording Framerate.
- Storage capacity (and backup connectivity).
- PTZ control.

Average around R16000.
