I am not holding my breath :p

Ya... LoL, i wonder how long its gonna take for them to do the complete upgrade............. I hope that it doesnt take too long..... hope its done within the 1st week of the month... or less

Is it a matter of Telkom flipping a switch at the exchange or must techies come and do something physically to your line?

Well if the infulstructure in your area can support it, i assume its a Few changes made on telkoms side.. No need for them to send out techies....

I really do hope that telkom does this upgrade quickly.. Cuz i really really want this upgrade... 20kbs while downloading<3-4gigs> a game is really really sad...... :/

Only prob now is that we need more BW..... Cuz im jst gonna munch up my 30gigs faster... :P

Ja i saw that.... Already payed my R172 this month tho.. so nxt month ill be swoping over... Hope that package stays on there price lists...

192k not for sale anymore 384 took its place, R245 for 192 and 384.

From 1 Aug new prices for those who want to know:

192k = R245 + R92.28
384k = R245 + R92.28
512k = R362 + R92.28
1024k = R516 + R92.28

Upgrade = Free
Downgrade 512 to 384 = R256.62 (and i sepose from 1024 to 384 or 512)

USB Modem = R399
Ethernet Modem = R799

I think I have been upgraded. Since last week Saturday my speedtest have been about 350k download. Although on my router it says 384k downstream and it is suppose to be 512k I have heard. Yesterday I downloaded 2.1 GB in 24 hours. Last month I could only download 1.1 gb and speed test was about 180k download. what is your downstream on your router?

me still on 192k speeds. I think provided the pipe at the exchange is suffiently big enough for whatever their standards are its just a auto-switch till you get 384k or your router can't maintain synch. I wonder how much capacity or rather extra will be required considering the coming addition of 4Mbps.. then again having caps + shaping lessens the requirements.

Just a little correction there friend. The normal line rental goes up to R99.92 in about 2 hours 28 minutes. :D

Does anybody know how long it will take for 384 speeds to kick in?

im still trying to workout if you need to ask telkom to upgrade or if they will do it automatically, anyway i guess its not long to find out :)
