Your line speed is approximately 161 Kbps or 19.7 kBytes/sec
( Where kb = kilobits and kB = kiloBytes )

192 is still alive and well! What will it take to get us out of the stoneage!

From what's been said it's a software configuration only. No need for them to go out to each and every exchange.

Similar to how they limited every 192 customer to 160kbps (from the previous 256kbps) without the need to change anything at the exchange.

No upgrade as yet. Do u think that calling them up and asking for the upgrade will help? Coz I'm not willing to sit with a slow line speed.

nothing in on my side of JHB either :(
Surely its a matter of just a click here and there for the exchanges that are already synched above 320kbs?

I am syncing at 2Mbps, but my speed is 192k :( must I phone them, or are they going to upgrade me when they feel like it?

Does anybody know how long it will take for 384 speeds to kick in?

Um, maybe try disconnect and then reconnect. I am no techie, but I am sure a disconnect and reconnect is what is required. What have you got to lose?
