192k to 384k? ~~~August 1st changes~~~

2:35am and still no changes here (still 192), lets hope the Telkom guys don't sleep in late this morning, its snowing out side (in Cape Town anyway:) They got plenty of work to do today....

Your line speed is approximately 161 Kbps or 19.7 kBytes/sec
( Where kb = kilobits and kB = kiloBytes )

192 is still alive and well! What will it take to get us out of the stoneage!

From what's been said it's a software configuration only. No need for them to go out to each and every exchange.

Similar to how they limited every 192 customer to 160kbps (from the previous 256kbps) without the need to change anything at the exchange.

LoL well.........

Seems nothing has happend yet
# Estimated line speed: 146.4 (kilobits/second)

Well, at least Cybersmart's web-page been upgraded - at least 1 company being ready for the change :-)

nothing in on my side of JHB either :(
Surely its a matter of just a click here and there for the exchanges that are already synched above 320kbs?

I am syncing at 2Mbps, but my speed is 192k :( must I phone them, or are they going to upgrade me when they feel like it?

I will wait till this afternoon, and then probably phone and ask. just to see when it is planned for.. thats if they can tell me

Does anybody know how long it will take for 384 speeds to kick in?

Um, maybe try disconnect and then reconnect. I am no techie, but I am sure a disconnect and reconnect is what is required. What have you got to lose?
